‘Radiation risk’ from jewelery sold in Ireland as urgent recall issued

An urgent recall has been issued for a range of jewelery sold in Ireland due to “radiation risk”.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) confirmed on Wednesday that a safety issue has been identified with a number of wearable health products, including bracelets and necklaces.

A spokesman said: “The risk associated with the product is that of radiation, the products have low levels of radiation that can cause harm to the user during prolonged use.”
