Friends ‘went for a pint and ended up on the 4am flight to Ibiza’

Two men had the best night of their lives after ending up in sunny Spain after having a pint in their hometown.

Dan Evans and Alex Stubbs promised they’d be home by 11:30 pm after going out for drinks on a Friday afternoon.

However, in an unbelievable turn of events, the two ended up on an impromptu trip to the party island of Ibiza in Spain.

During their afternoon in Merthyr, Wales, someone suggested they go to Magaluf in Mallorca, as Wales Online reports.

The couple thought it was a great idea and took a taxi to Cardiff airport, where they subsequently boarded a 4am flight to Ibiza.

“We stopped at home to collect our passports and phone chargers, and then headed to the airport,” said Dan, 23.

“When we got there, although the Mallorca flight was fully booked, there was a flight to Ibiza, so we booked that one.”

The boys hadn’t booked a hotel or a flight home and instead bought some shorts and headed straight to the Ocean Beach club, before finding a nightclub.

The boys didn’t bother to book a hotel room.

Dan said: “We literally party all weekend, and then when the sun came up on Sunday morning we had to figure out how we were going to get home.”

Dan and Alex had only bought one-way tickets from Cardiff, and the only one back on Sunday was to London Stansted.

“It was harder to get a plan back, but we worked one out, we flew back to London in plenty of time to be at work on Monday,” Dan explained.

“It was a bit of a shock to the system, but it was worth it. We have no regrets and will probably do it again, but it could be a few years before we can do it again.”

The couple made a video about their adventure, which has received thousands of likes and has received many comments.
