“A man kidnapped a 4-year-old boy and took him to the store in Iceland” before his desperate mother chased him down and grabbed him again, as police appeal to CCTV and witnesses.

A man reportedly abducted a four-year-old boy from a Liverpool high street who was out shopping with his mother.
Police received reports that the boy was grabbed after he and his mother were accosted outside Top Class Shoe Repairs on Walton Vale Road on Tuesday, May 10 at around 12:45 p.m.
The mother alleges the suspect then drove the four-year-old girl across the street.
She told officers she followed the man and grabbed her son before heading to a nearby store.
The stranger, described as an Asian man in his early 30s, around 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a stocky build, then walked in the direction of an Icelandic supermarket, towards Rice Lane, which is 43 yards from where he kidnapped the boy in Top Class Shoe Repairs.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them for more information, while the mother posted a warning on Facebook.

The warning has been shared by thousands of local residents.
Community Policing Inspector Sarah Rotherham said: “We have launched an investigation into this incident to establish all the circumstances.”
“This took place earlier in the day on a relatively busy highway and we are calling on anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us.
“I also urge people who were in the vicinity at the time to review their CCTV and dashcam footage that may have captured the incident.”
The mother of the four-year-old boy told police that the man who took her son from her had headed in the direction of Iceland, heading south from the shoe repair shop in Walton Vale towards Rice Lane in Liverpool.
I would also like to assure everyone that we take any report of this nature very seriously.
“We will act on all information provided and we are absolutely determined to find this man to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.”
