The company has invested €2 million in the facility that uses state-of-the-art 3D technology to design, engineer, manufacture and assemble products and systems for customers.
The center will lead to the creation of up to 50 jobs in the initial phase, with the prospect of more jobs being added to the existing workforce of more than 300 across the group.
Writech provides fire protection products and systems to companies in a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, retail, data centers and offices.
“Today is the culmination of a vision we had many years ago to build a world-class operation in Mullingar that will lead and change the industry in Ireland, Europe and beyond,” said Writech CEO Ted Wright.
The company has also announced the acquisition of Ce Sprinkler, a Swedish fire protection company.
It follows the recent acquisition of Compco by Writech, a UK supplier of automatic fire suppression systems.
