Lotto bosses mock the location where the €8.5 million winning ticket was sold as the seaside town is also home to the €1 million winner

The National Lottery has revealed that the winning ticket for Saturday night’s Lotto jackpot, valued at €8,508,720, was sold in a town south of Kilkenny.

But bosses said more details about the jackpot ticket sales location will be released in the coming days as they gave no other information.

Meanwhile, the winning Lotto Plus One ticket valued at €1 million was sold in the picturesque seaside town of Dungarvan in Co Waterford.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on Friday, May 6.

Again, the location of the winning store was not revealed and will be confirmed tomorrow, Tuesday, May 10.

The Waterford winner became the sixth Lotto Plus One jackpot winner of 2022 following wins in Dublin (two), Wexford, Cork and Louth.

The National Lottery continued to appeal to players in Kilkenny and Waterford to carefully check their Saturday night draw tickets as two players now have tickets worth €8,508,720 and €1 million.

Overnight millionaires are advised to sign the back of their tickets and contact the National Lottery’s prize claims team by calling 1800 666 222 or emailing Claims@lottery. ie and arrangements will be made for you to claim your prizes.

The two biggest wins from Saturday night’s lottery draw have brought the number of National Lottery millionaires to date to a total of 18.

Almost 30 cents of every euro spent on all National Lottery games goes to good causes and, in total, more than 6 billion euros have been raised since its founding 34 years ago.
