Unless you’ve studied finance, learning how to balance your checkbook, invest in stocks, and save for retirement is no easy task. A large portion of people in the US simply don’t know much about their own personal finances.
According data from the S&P Global FinLit survey, conducted by the World Bank, Gallup and George Washington University, the US ranked 14th in the world for financial literacy of its citizens. The research also found that only 57 percent of American adults are financially literate.
