THIS little Sligo cottage with a “generous” amount of land has hit the Irish market, but house hunters should prepare for what lies within.

The one-bedroom townhouse is for sale for €30,000.

The property is located in Cloonloo, Cloonloogh, Co Sligo along a cul-de-sac. It is approximately a 20 minute drive from Carrick-on-Shannon and 10 minutes from Boyle.

The house is new to the market and has a “generous” elevated site of C.0.50 acres.

The property also has stone outbuildings and has a short driveway protected by a metal fence.

With a gray stone exterior, the main building’s windows are mostly boarded up and ivy and bushes have grown up some of the walls.

The house has three bedrooms and is advertised on Daft.ie by Private Treaty, with his listener advising that he is a “fixer-upper”.

The listing stated: “The cottage would be an ideal top property for repairs and has much to offer the right client.”

Inside the picturesque property, the scope of work needed to fix it is clearer.

Carpets and flooring have been torn in all three bedrooms and ivy has grown through some of the ceiling tiles.

Inside there are some wooden furniture, including an armchair, a table and a wardrobe. However, most of the items have been damaged by the elements and are broken or falling apart.

And on the walls, paint and wallpaper have peeled or become distorted in color, with one wall marked with white-label graffiti.

Some of the window panes appear to be intact, while other window frames are fitted with wooden boards.

The traditional farmhouse is equipped with two fireplaces and two fireplaces, with one of the mantelpieces intact.

The back wall of the attic has several large cracks and the floor will also need repair.
