Easter Sunday opening hours for Dunnes, Lidl, SuperValu, Tesco, Aldi as two confirmed closed

Supermarkets across Ireland will operate at different times today as Lidl and Aldi confirm they will be closed across the country.

The modified hours will also be seen on Monday for the bank holiday, but most will be open and operating on their regular Sunday hours.

Families will gather today for the annual Easter Sunday dinner, so whether you’re the chef for the day or a guest at someone’s house and have something last minute, there will be some supermarkets open early.

Although Lidl and Aldi closed their doors on Saturday night and won’t reopen until Monday, Supervalu, Tesco and some Dunnes stores could be open in your area today, at least for a few hours.

Here’s what you need to know about the opening hours of some of the most popular Irish supermarkets today:

Lidl

All Lidl stores in Ireland will operate with the same opening hours over the long weekend and will be closed on Easter Sunday.

Sunday April 17 – Closed

Monday, April 19 – 9am to 9pm

Tesco

Tesco opening hours in Ireland will vary with many locations implementing their regular Sunday hours.

Some shops will be closed on Easter Sunday.

Customers are advised to check their local store with the online locator to see what time it opens and closes.

super value

Each SuperValu is likely to operate on Sundays, but this all varies between individual stores.

Aldi

All Aldi stores in Ireland will operate with the same opening hours over the long weekend and will be closed on Easter Sunday.

  • Monday, April 19 – 9am to 9pm

Dunnes Stores

Most will be closed on Easter Sunday, according to the Dunnes Stores website.
