Dublin Airport passengers report dramatic change as Easter tourists share positive updates

People traveling from Dublin airport on Thursday morning were pleasantly surprised after minimal delays at security.

Passengers have been sharing their positive experiences at the airport, with many praising the airport staff for making it “stress-free.”

It comes after weeks of “chaotic” delays at Ireland’s busiest airport, with long lines of people seen winding through terminal buildings over the past month as a result of security jams.

Some 300 people have already made formal complaints to the Dublin Airport Authority, which runs the airport, about delays and missed flights.

Travelers have been advised to arrive at the airport three and a half hours early to ensure they don’t miss their flights.

The recommendation comes as large numbers of people are expected to pass through the airport over the Easter period.

However, after weeks of widespread passenger complaints about severe delays on morning flights, most people who flew on Thursday morning reported a positive experience.

On Twitter, many tourists said that the security queues were running smoothly, with wait times ranging from 15 to 40 minutes.

The news will bode well for many who will be traveling abroad over the Easter weekend.

One person said: “@DublinAirport #Dublinairport 12 min from car park (5:35am arrival) to duty free after security fast track. Well done daa. !!!!

A second said: “#DublinAirport T1 security really isn’t that bad. Arrive at 6.10am, wandering around just fine here. #DontBelieveTheHype @DublinAirport staff very helpful.”
